Junior Cricket
Sunningwell CC has enjoyed building a large community of junior cricket teams and training events. Some teams also play scheduled matches. Many of our teams operate on a mixed gender basis.
Under 17s
2026 sees the first under 17 team established with many of the players having come up through each of the age groups.
Under 15s - Tuesdays, 7pm
The players who played for this team in 2025 now move up to the under 17s or adult cricket, having been incredibly successful.
Under 13s - Tuesdays, 7pm
Under 11s - Tuesdays, 6pm
Dynamos - Tuesdays, 6pm
This is for children of all abilities and experience between the ages 8-11 years old. It's an exciting way for kids to play, learn cricket skills and make new friends. The programme helps develop skills such as bowling, batting and fielding, as well as providing lots of opportunity to play a game of Countdown Cricket.
All Stars - Fridays, 6pm
All stars is the youngest age group we cover. All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.
On a Friday evening in the summer, when the sun is shining there is nowhere better to be than at Sunningwell Cricket Club.
It starts with 50+ All-stars and 20+ girls dynamos running around and new for 2026, women's training will follow the junior fun.
We pride ourselves on creating a fun and safe environment for all. The bar is very popular for parents and the ice lollies and occasional BBQ keeps the family fun going well after the session official end. Our programme's success speaks for itself and word of mouth travels fast as we sell out in a matter of hours each year. So be sure to book your place fast!
